A Wisconsin Dells man was killed in a two-vehicle crash last Thursday, according to various media reports. The crash occurred on Highway 51 north of the Dane County Regional Airport, according to an article by the Wisconsin State Journal.
“The crash happened at about 11:15 p.m. at the Highway 51 and Highway CV intersection in the town of Burke, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said,” the article reads.
As of last Friday afternoon the victim’s identity had not been released pending the notification of his family.
An investigation into the crash revealed that the victim, who is reportedly 60-years-old, was traveling northbound and made a turn onto Highway 51 from Highway CV. He was driving an SUV and when he turned, he was struck by a Chevy Trailblazer that was traveling southbound.
The driver of the Chevy Trailblazer was 18-year-old Noah Davis, who is from Madison. He was arrested at the scene on tentative charges of homicide by negligent use of a motor vehicle, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
“Driver speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash,” Lt. Jeff Heil told a Wisconsin State Journal reporter.
The details of the crash remain under investigation.
