A man who was killed in Waukesha County when another driver struck his pickup truck had his grandchildren in the vehicle with him. The two young children were injured as a result of the crash.
According to a Patch article, the 77-year-old man had his six-year-old and eight-year-old grandchildren with him when the incident occurred. The man who struck him was 30-years-old.

According to a report by the Lake County NOW, the accident happened in the Delafield area near highways 16 and 83.
Both cars reportedly left the roadway following the collision, a news release said. The pickup truck then struck a guardrail and a bridge pillar. After striking the pillar, the pickup truck rolled over.
Half a dozen police departments and three local fire departments responded to the scene, according to the release.
“The 77-year-old man was reportedly pronounced dead after being transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa,” Lake County NOW reports. “The two children who were traveling in his truck with him were injured, but taken to the hospital, treated for their injuries and later released.”
The Sheriff’s Department is continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
According to the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation (D.O.T.), there have been five fatalities on the roadways of Waukesha County so far this year. There were 10 in 2015 and 24 fatal crashes in 2014.
