A motorcyclist was killed Friday night, Aug. 5 near Eagle after a head-on collision.

The motorcyclist was a 52-year-old man from Mukwonago, according to various news reports.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department released a statement that reads the man was the driver of a motorcycle struck head-on by a car driven by a 19-year old woman from Palmyra. The crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. on Waukesha County Road NN west of Jericho Road in the Town of Eagle.
“According to the Sheriff’s report, the car was traveling west and attempting to pass a second westbound vehicle when it collided with two motorcycles traveling east on the same highway, an article by CBS 58 reads. “The man, the driver of the lead motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of a second motorcycle, a 46-year-old man from the Town of Vernon was also struck and injured. He was taken to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The woman received medical treatment for what
County Highway NN was reportedly closed for several hours as the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident.
The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Town of Eagle and Mukwonago Fire Departments.
No other information has been released regarding the incident, including whether or not the 19-year-old woman will face charges as a result of the crash.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, there have been 46 fatalities of motorcycle drivers so far this year in Wisconsin and 4 motorcycle passengers. In 2015, 47 motorcycle drivers were killed on Wisconsin roads and 2 passengers as a result of a crash.
