Two truck drivers were injured in a Wednesday morning crash in Waupaca County.

According to various media reports, there were three vehicles involved in the crash , which occurred on Highway 54.
“The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 7 a.m. near Otto Road in the township of Mukwa,” an article on WBAY’s website reads. “An unloaded dump truck was traveling westbound on Highway 54 when it did not make a curve and crashed into an oncoming truck that was carrying wood chips. A third vehicle that was following the dump truck crashed into a ditch to avoid the trucks.”
Both truck drivers suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Their injuries were reportedly non-life threatening. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured in the crash, according to WBAY.
There was no information released about whether anyone is facing charges in connection to the crash. There was also no information released about whether or not investigators suspect speed, drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
A stretch of Highway 54 was reportedly closed for several hours in both directions between New London and Royalton.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, there was an average of 6,301 large truck crashes on Wisconsin roads between 2009 and 2014, an average of 1,975 people were injured in those crashes and an average of 68 people died as a result of injuries they sustained in a crash involving a large truck.
At least four people have been killed on Waupaca County roads this month and an average of 10 people have died on Waupaca County roads between the years of 2011 and 2015.
