Two people were injured after a head-on collision last Friday afternoon in Hudson Township.

According to an article in the Hudson Star Observer, authorities received a call that a crash had occurred in front of 669 County Road N near the intersection with Baker Road about 3:40 p.m.
“Jessica Schutz, 17, from Hudson Township was traveling westbound on County Road N in a 2008 Dodge Caravan when it collided with a 1997 Dodge Ram traveling eastbound, according to Wisconsin State Patrol Sgt. Brian Erickson,” the article reads. “The driver of the truck is 62-year-old David Hake from River Falls, authorities said.”
Hake was reportedly transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital with significant injuries. Schutz was taken by ambulance to Hudson Hospital with unknown injuries before being transferred to Regions after the crash , the Hudson Star Observer reports.
Schutz received a citation for driving left of the center line, according to State Patrol. Wisconsin State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
So far this month three people have been killed on Wisconsin roads as a result of vehicle crashes, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Last month, 54 people were killed in crashes and so far this year, 353 people have been killed as a result of motor-vehicle crashes on Wisconsin roads. In 2015, 331 people died on Wisconsin roads, according to the DOT.
From 2011 to 2016 the average number of fatalities due to vehicle crashes in Wisconsin is 330.
