Ronald O. Anderson, a 32-year-old Medford resident did not survive injuries he sustained as a result of the crash , according to Taylor County Sheriff Bruce Daniels. The crash occurred at the intersection of State Highway 64 and Crane Drive near Medford.
The initial investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling east on Hwy 64. The pick-up truck was traveling west on Hwy 64. The driver of the westbound truck told authorities he was unable to see the oncoming motorcycle due to bright sun coming from the west. He then turned left onto Crane Drive and the two vehicles collided inside the intersection.
“The operator of the truck was Michael R. Feddick, a 51-year-old Medford resident. Feddick did not report any injury,” an article published by The Star News reads. “According to Daniels, at approximately 6:50 p.m. the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 report of a truck vs. motorcycle crash at the intersection of Hwy 64 and Crane Drive in the town of Medford. The caller advised that it appeared as though the operator of the motorcycle was seriously injured.”
After lifesaving attempts were initiated, it became apparent to officials that Anderson, the driver of the motorcycle, did not survive injuries he sustained in the crash. At that time, the Taylor County Medical Examiner was notified and responded to the scene where the victim was pronounced deceased.
