A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger critically injured in a crash in Waukesha on Wednesday. According to an article by Waukesha Patch, the crash occurred on May 3 about 6:15 p.m.
Multiple 911 calls came into the City of Waukesha Police and Fire Communications Center for a traffic crash that occurred at the intersection of E. Main Street and Davidson Road.
“When the Waukesha Police and Fire Departments arrived on scene, they located a car and one motorcycle involved in the crash each with significant damage,” the Waukesha Patch article reads.
When first responders from the Waukesha Fire Department arrived on scene, they rendered aid to the two riders of the motorcycle. It was at that time they discovered the male rider was deceased. The female passenger on the motorcycle was transported by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car was not injured in the crash, Waukesha Patch reports.
“A Waukesha Police Accident Reconstruction Specialist was called to investigate the crash scene and that investigation is still ongoing,” the article reads. “The names of those involved are not being released until family notifications can be completed.”
No further information in relation to the crash has been released as of yet and there is no information in the article in regards to whose fault the crash was or whether anyone is facing any charges in connection to the crash.

During that same time span, an average of 18,389 crashes occurred each year as a result of speeding, an average of 2,376 crashes involved a motorcyclist, an average of 91 motorcyclists died as a result of a crash, and an average of 2,161 motorcyclists were injured as a result of a crash each year on Wisconsin roadways.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Crash Records Unit reports that so far this year, 142 people have died in a vehicle crash on Wisconsin roads.
